English Walnut branch flute in High Cm

sound sample for this flute

The bark has been left on this unsplit branch flute and Red Jasper has been inlaid along the right side
in some of the bark crevices, contributing color and an impression of red lichen growing on the side of the branch.
The bird is held to the nest with American Bison lacing and red horn bone beads.  The flute measures 15 1/2 inches in length
and the branch was gathered from a grove of English Walnut trees that grow along San Marcos Creek in north San Diego County, California.
