Elderberry Branch Flute in Bm

Tuned to a high Bm (A=440), this solid bore Elderberry (Sambucus mexicana) branch flute sings with a clear and resonant voice, as heard in the sound sample. As with all Dryad Flutes, this Elderberry branch was bored out unsplit to maintain the natural strength and character of the tree.  The bark has been left on, sanded down in the nest area to expose the cream colored wood.  The bird has been fitted with a cedar shoe and a drain hole has been designed into the air chamber to help prevent wet-out.  Deer leather lacing secures the bird to her nest.  A beautiful drawstring flute bag has been custom made for this flute by Sabine.
