Some of the very
characteristic bark has been left on
this unsplit
Ponderosa
Pine branch flute, except where the sound chamber wall has
been sanded
down at the tone holes, creating a nice contrast with the
finely
finished, exposed grain. All knots are unchecked and
finely
finished as well, each a window into the heart of the
tree.
Measuring 16 3/4", this branch fute is concert tuned to a mid
range B
minor and plays the pentatonic modes 1 & 4 as well as the
gypsy
scale, with four in tune, upper octave
notes. American
bison lacing with red horn and white bone beads holds the bird
to the
nest. This flute comes with it's own stand, made of
Ponderosa
Pine as well, along with a nice fleece drawstring bag and a
"Playing
and Caring for Your Dryad Flute" booklet.
