A symbol of peace since ancient times, the olive branch lends its spirit and cultural significance to this very special Peace Flute.   All of the bark has been retained on this solid bore flute, allowing the natural look and beauty of the olive branch to stay intact.   Measuring 16" in length, it is clearly and sweetly tuned to a high Em ( A=440 ) pentatonic scale, modes 1 & 4, playing three upper register notes.  Twigs in each of the eight knots of this beautiful branch have been inlaid, in their tips, with green turquoise.  Deer leather lacing with green turquoise nuggets and gold plated beads secures the bird to its nest.  To help prevent wetout, the bird has been fitted with a cedar shoe, and a drain hole, covered by the lacing, has been designed into the air chamber.  The branch for this flute was gathered sustainably with respect, gratitude and prayer, from an abandoned olive grove that grows within the San Marcos Creek watershed of California.
