Elderberry Branch Flute in C#m

Measuring 22 1/4" in length, with four direction holes, this unsplit Elderberry branch flute is clearly and sweetly voiced to 6 hole, high C# minor Modes 1&4 pentatonic scale, playing 2 upper register tones. The bark has been left on, well sealed to insure its continued adherence to the wood. To aid against wet-out the bird has been fitted with a redwood heartwood shoe, for its absorption qualities, and a drain hole has been designed into the air chamber. Deer lacing, with Malachite and brass beads, secures the bird to its nest.
