California Sycamore Branch Flute in F

The wonderful mottled bark has been left on this unsplit California Sycamore branch flute except at the exposed knots which have been finely finished.  Concert tuned to a mid range F, the key of the heart chakra, it plays the minor pentatonic modes 1 & 4 and the Gypsy Scale, with three in tune, upper octave notes.  Touches of crushed turquoise inlay can be found in a few of the knots and turquoise nuggets have been set in others.  American Bison lacing with turquiose and brass beads holds the bird to the nest.  This flute measures 20 3/4" in length and the branch is from a tree that grows at the beautiful Descanso Gardens.
