Coast Redwood Branch Flute in High E

Coast Redwood Branch Flute in High E
The bark has been left on this unsplit Coast Redwood branch flute except at the knots which have been finely finished.  Concert tuned to high E, it plays the minor pentatonic modes 1 & 4 with three in tune, upper octave notes.  Touches of crushed turquoise inlay can be found in a few of the knots and a turquoise nugget has been set into the bird.  American bison lacing with turquoise beads holds the bird to the nest.  The flute measures 14" in length and the branch is from a grove of Coast Redwood trees
that grow at the beautiful Descanso Gardens.
