Measuring 16 3/8" in length, this oak branch, that had weathered and dried in nature, has been accurately and sweetly voiced to a high c pentatonic scale, with a controllable "warble" on the fundamental and playing three upper octave notes. Turquoise has been inlaid into any knot holes or surface fissures. Elk lacing with turquoise and brass beads holds the bird to the nest. To help prevent wet-out, the bird has been fitted with a redwood shoe and a drain hole has been designed into the air chamber, covered by the lacing.
