Measuring 12" in length, this oak branch, that had weathered and dried in nature, has been accurately and sweetly voiced to a high f pentatonic scale, with a controllable "warble" on the fundamental (rare, in this high of a flute!) and playing three upper octave notes.  Lapis Lazuli has been inlaid into any knot holes.  Elk lacing with lapis lazuli and carved bone beads holds the bird to the nest.  To help prevent wet-out, the bird has been fitted with a redwood shoe and a drain hole has been designed into the air chamber, covered by the lacing.
