Some
of the exterior and underlayer bark has been
left on
this unsplit Coast Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens)
branch
flute, creating
a nice contrast, both visual and tactile, with the finely finished
exposed grain. Measuring 17 3/4" in length and
concert tuned to
A minor, it plays the pentatonic modes 1 & 4 as well as the Gypsy
Scale with three, in
tune, upper octave notes. Deer lacing with Hornbone and Brass
beads holds the bird
to the nest. The
branch is from a grove of
Redwood trees that grow at Descanso Gardens in southern California. Sold price includes tax and shipping cost, "How to Play and Care For Your Dryad Flute" booklet and a lined felt drawstring flute bag. Back to Dryad Flutes for Sale |
