the bark has been removed from this Diamond Willow
unsplit branch flute, though some underlayer streaks remain,
adding a third color tone to the lighter sapwood and darker heartwood. The characteristic diamond shape knots have been inlaid with Aragonite and sanded smooth, giving an impression of diamonds set into the wood. Measuring 15 5/8" in length, dark brown deer lacing with horn bone and brass beads holds the bird to the nest.
